Drive north (approx. 3.5 hours) via the Dambulla Cave Temple. Continue to Sigiriya. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the cooler morning hours. Afternoon at leisure in the village or by the lodge pool. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Drive to Kandy (approx. 3 hours). Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and walk around Kandy Lake in the late afternoon. Overnight in Kandy.
